Question by HappyGirl: What are the benefits of Twitter? I recently started a blog for young women who are transitioning into adulthood. In my free time, I'm working hard to build traffic to the blog by visiting other blogs and leaving comments. I also joined a blogging forum. I hear good things about Twitter from different bloggers, but I'm not quite certain if it would help me build traffic and network with other bloggers. Twitter would definitely help you build traffic. Twitter is a micro blogging service that allows people to share what they are doing at any given time in 140 characters or less. Many people will use twitter to let the community know that they've updated their blog. There are automated ways to do that or you can do it manually. Once you get a following, you'll see immediate traffic after you announce an update to your blog.
