tumblr. you can share anyhting you want, pictures, music, your thoughts, videos. And it can be as private as you want. All of the people on tumblr are kind and pretty soon you will realize that they are just like you. You have the ability to look up posts about topics you like, such as pictures and gifs (Moving pictures). Half the stuff you find will crack you up. Your tumblr is completely customizable, and you have so much freedom, its easy to get addicted :)

Tumblr has a lot of security issues and you can get viruses, so I would never put anything important there. Wordpress is great if you don't want to advertise, other wise blogger.

If you have your own domain, Wodpress is the best for me. If you prefer free, then Blogger. Wordpress because it is very easy to manage with lots of handy plugin available. Blogger because you can also attach Ads into your free Blogger account unlike in free Wordpress, they do not allow that.

I use both WordPress and Tumblr and like all things both have advantages & disadvantages. Tumblr is awesome for quick posts of pictures & other short media-rich posts. It is super easy to log into your dashboard and post something. It also has a much better way of getting followers, as if someone likes something you post, they can share it and still give you credit (they call this reblogging) You can quite quickly gain a lot of followers on Tumblr from this. WordPress (I use the more powerful self-hosted option) offers much more power to customize and add-on features and plugins. It has good tools for all the usual blogging tasks and you can allow commenting and sharing to get more people interested in your blog. WordPress has lots of free themes and heaps of different layouts, so your site does not need to even look like a blog, or be obvious that it is powered by WordPress at all. Blogger I have only used a little bit and I'd recommend Blogger only if you need free hosted blogging that allows advertising.

Usually when someone hosts your blog in his or her own web server, is called a blog host provider. It is actually very frustrating when you want to choose the best for your internet site.

Blogging is one of the most remarkable business online, and it's important to choose the best for your blog's good future.

When you are looking for a host, you need to look for only couple of things. E.g., if you are a technical person or not, does your site require too much disk space and bandwidth, and what other facilities you may need.

If you are not experienced with HTML, then you could look for a host that provides an user friendly control panel to make it easier for you to create posts. Or you could go with a company that gives you full control over your blog, and gives FTP server access as well.

The issue with free companies are, they are very strict.

You will soon realize that to develop your blog, and to grow the potentials of your overall site, you need to use more stuff, and customize it. Since, free providers don't give you that facility, your blog might not ever get that exposure.

But if you register with a paid host, they will give you full control over your site. And you should be able to install custom designs, galleries, shopping carts, upload files and edit server files if you have knowledge in those fields.

And also, don't forget the added bonus you get. Sometimes you will receive a free domain name, discount coupons or free software to aid you in your business.

Simply put, if you need full control over your blog right now, then go with a paid host. Because they have the same features as the free ones, but if you want total control, they will be glad to let you take over.
